This week Cathy is joined by two gents who have elegantily navigated through substantial career evolution, each blazing a trail marked with innovation.

First up, Brian Solis a well-known author and pundit on all things social and "Engage"ing in the real-time web world, recently joined the ranks of Altimeter Group. With his most recent book now on version 2.0, and Brian himself on a solid version 3.0 of himself, how does he view the need for being nimble and evolutionary in today's business world?

When Cathy first met her other guest, he'd just walked away from the glamorous world (that's a slightly sarcastic statement) of being a foreign correspondent for the Associated Press. After spending time in a Knight Foundation program, in which he analyzed the impact of the social web on news gathering, Burt Herman got an idea. A couple of years later, he launched Storify at TechCrunch Disrupt in San Francisco. This week Storify moved from private beta into public access and has caused quite a stir. Burt will talk about his career path, what the journey has been like and where things go next.

The Conversation is not about technology. It's about what you do with it. Jumping from this basic premise, each week The Conversation's Executive Producer & Host Cathy Brooks explores the bits and bytes that are changing the way people get and share information, interact and the way in which this is fundamentally changing social and professional interactions. Each week guests ranging from up and comer entrepreneurs to seasoned influencers and everyone in between join Cathy to talk about what they do, why they do it and how their personal story fits into the mix.
