Far too many of today's leaders aren't really leading. Instead, they are unable to share their goals and purpose in a clear and concise manner that allows people to get behind their ambitions. If people do understand their goals, they seem to lack the knowledge and ability to formulate a solid strategic plan that makes sense, and suddenly they find themselves on the sidelines in their business doing the only thing they seem to have left: They yell "Go Team!"... as though that should inspire their people to try harder.

Finding success in business isn't an accident. It's also not luck. Every successful person set out on their journey with a very specific goal in mind, and a plan in hand that made sense. Did they know everything they needed to know before they started? Did they anticipate every curve in the road getting to where they wanted to go? No. However, with a well thought out strategy, and a little luck, they made something of themselves.
