A lot of attention lately has been placed on local search and primarily Google Places and Maps as a way to reach local customers but the problem is that there is a limit geographically with Google Maps. If you want to market in a nearby city using local search but you don't have a physical location then you can't create the listing you need.

The solution is Google's Adwords program as well as the Mircosoft AdCenter program. Both allow you to target ads geographically. So you can target nearby cities effectively and we'll talk about why you should be doing this and how to get started.
