On the next Open Stage, Michelle interviews award-winning songwriter and performer Woody LIissauer who won several awards in SAW's 32nd Annual Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. A major figure in the Mid-Atlantic touring scene of the 70’s/80’s/90’s this career musician now performs mainly his own material - soaring tuneful compositions that reflect Americana, British folk, French jazz & Spanish classical and more - stunningly performed in a variety of styles, featuring the intricate finger-work associated with Chet Atkins or Tommy Emmanuel! With a music degree and 35 years full-time experience in the US & overseas with countless albums, awards, radio spins & glowing reviews, he calls our Baltimore home! On this show, you can hear songs from his new CD ‘A Guest in the House of the Wind’ which already has won three song awards, the title cut, 'Sirocco' which won the MASC Silver Award and 'Everything Happens at Once' Woody will also discuss his upcoming CD release shows.
