Depression

The topic for this week is Depression and I was asked why seeing as it doesn’t have anything to do with spiritualism. In an indirect way it does and can have a spiritual connection along the line. Some of this country’s funniest and much loved comedy ‘Heroes’ suffer from depression and use their comedy career as a crutch to cope with life and there is nothing wrong with that. A very high percentage of Spiritual Mediums are ill or suffer from an ailment of one kind or another. About 10 to 15 minutes before I do any spiritual work any ailments I have are removed for the duration of doing Spirit’s work and then given back. During the course of doing ‘Platform’ I am given reminders of what is wrong with me. Depression can come in different forms and I am not going to go in to details about that but want to say that no matter what form of depression you have it is still and always be a very lonely illness. For those that have not experienced such then hopefully this programme will give you a little bit of an insight into the mind of anyone who has depression. There can be any amount of reasons for a person to fall into depression and my breakdown occurred for a few reasons and caused me to have a complete breakdown. I have had two major breakdowns with the second one being far worse than the initial one so I will ‘gloss over’ the first one but will tell you that 18 months after the initial breakdown I will say that in not taking care of myself I ended up having an acute asthma attack which put me into a coma for 8 days. I had to be resuscitated 4 times and my family were told to expect the worse because I was not expected to survive the first night but I did. When out of the coma one of the first things I thought that might have happened was that my gift would have been taken away but I was to find out that it hadn’t just the opposite.
