We come into this world with an exit door lan, but no one knows the time or the hour. Elder family members may try to prepare their loved ones for the inevitable but sometimes younger family members refuse to talk about it, especially if the elder is not sick or in the hospital. But how do we plan for the inevitable in a culture where death is feared, misunderstood and not allowed into the conversation? How do we remove the taboo of discussing death before it happens in order to be emotionzally and financially prepared when it comes?
