Kellogg--"Codependency is the absence of relationship with self. It's the child's reaction to a dysfunctional family." A dependency or focus on another at the expense of self. The family is the most powerful influences in children lives. Make your home a place of refuge, love, stability, provision, protection, and learning about God. It is a pattern of living in which a person's focus is out of balance to the point of over reacting to people or things outside of one's self and under reacting to feelings, or values inside to one;s self; thus losing one's God given self in the process, which is quite a price.
