Carolyn Washington, Founder-Executive Director of Sisters4Sisters, Inc. The Maryland based non-profit organization, which she founded in 1999, is dedicated to the empowerment and transformation of Women and Girls in Mind, Body and Spirit.  In 1999 Carolyn founded Sisters4Sisters, Inc. as a book club for women with personal life challenges and concerns.  Today it has grown into several chapters throughout the county with hundreds of members and thousands of partners throughout the United States. The organization has several ongoing projects, which are designed to address the needs of women throughout the community.  Some of the projects include LOVE-Leave Out Violence Everyday, Domestic Violence Awareness and Prevention Program, Daughters of Destiny-Youth Mentoring , Suit up for Success, SOS- Saving our Sisters/HIV AIDS Education Project, Sister Community Cares Campaign, Adopt a Sister, Back Pack Campaign, Hope for the Holiday, and so much more.  Since 1999 Sisters4Sisters, Inc. has donated more than 10,000 pairs of new undergarments, clothing and essential items for Women in The Harriet Tubman Shelter, The House of Ruth, The Prince Georges County Rape Crisis Center, Shepherds Cove, The DC Rape Crisis Center and other support organizations dedicated to the empowerment of Women and Girls.  Although, Washington is active throughout her community she nonetheless maintains her priorities as a devoted wife and mother. She is also the Publisher-Founder WIN Magazine; Women Inspired News is a bi-monthly publication which celebrates the Winning Spirit in all Women and Girls. Washington’s mantra for life  reads, “Together We Can Make a Difference…One Sister at a Time”
