Charmaine welcomes Gordon Fontaine to the show today.
Gordon established Zen Dog Training to pursue his passion for helping people create healthier, happier relationships with their dogs. He’s a Certified Dog Trainer with a Certificate in Training and Counseling from San Francisco SPCA’s Academy for Dog Trainers.

Gordon has been training dogs since he was 11 years old, when he was given responsibility for training the family dog. His early participation in dog training classes impressed him with the value of professional training methods to support our pet’s quality of life and relationship with humans. Gordon built upon his experience through helping family and friends address their dogs’ unwanted behaviors.

Since founding Zen Dog Training in 2005, Gordon has honed his skills through thousands of sessions with all types of dogs and situations.

A native of south Texas, Gordon earned an MBA at Boston College, and remained in the area. During the years he worked in finance for Bose Corporation and Lucent Technologies, Gordon began to study the ancient martial art of aikido. The physical and mental challenge of aikido suited Gordon; he earned a 2nd degree black belt and is a part-time instructor at a local dojo.

As he embraced the mind/body philosophy of aikido, Gordon eventually sought a livelihood more in line with his life view. Zen Dog Training was born!
