Show Up and Step Up

Many times in your past life (i.e. high school), it may have been possible to do a bare minimum and excel.  It's a lot harder to do that in college.  As we make the journey toward being prepared for your future profession, I encourage you to do more than just show up.  It's a good start, but there's much more necessary.

Once you're in the space, it's time to step up your game and kick it in gear.  Last week I talked about being pushed.  I'm asking to you welcome being pushed.  Think of it as the only way to get stronger.  All you athletes and musicians know what I'm talking about.  If you keep lifting the same weight, running the same distance, or taking the same path, nothing changes.  So something different and grow.  As always, I'll give you more suggestions on my show.
