Elder Tarnisha R. Humphrey was born a native of Nassau, Bahamas, one of over 700 islands in the Caribbean. She was born to Ms. Sandra Minnis & Mr. Floyd Walks on July 7, 1971. She was raised in the admonition of God through her Grandmother Ms. Eloise Minnis. After accepting Christ at an early age she continued to learn the will of God for her life. After graduating from high school she heard the direction from the Holy Spirit to travel to America for college. Tarnisha attended The American Baptist College of the American Baptist Theological Seminary located in the city of Nashville, TN. It was in May of 1996 at ABC she received a Bachelors Degree in Theology. In the same year Tarnisha accepted a call to the preaching ministry under the pastoral leadership of Bishop Joseph Warren Walker III at the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, Nashville, Ten. At that time she was very active as one of the worship leaders in this phenomenal growing church. Elder also attended Middle Tennessee State University with a concentrations of business and education and is now about to complete this degree at the Ashford University, San Diego, Ca. April 21, 2001 Elder Tarnisha was joined in marriage to the love of her life Elder Walter M. Humphrey. After working together in ministry at The Church of the First Born under the leadership of Bishop Keith Ireland, The Holy Spirit led them to make a move to Cleveland, Ohio in December of 2006. On March 17, 2008 Walter was called to serve as Senior Pastor of the Greater Faith Missionary Baptist Church, Cleveland, Ohio and Elder T is there working right beside her husband. On July 15 2007 Tarnisha and Marlon became the proud parents of Alison Nicole Humphrey. Elder Tarnisha has also birth forth a dynamic women ministry within Greater Faith and has host many women conferences.
