Not long after the 2015 New Year's Ball dropped in Times Square,  the other Keystone XL (KXL) pipline shoe followed suit. The new U.S Congress passed a bill in favor or completing construction of the pipline through America's heartland and biggest aquifer, the Ogallala. Meanwhile in Washington, D.C., President Obama announced his intention to veto Congress' bill when it gets to his desk and Congressional Democrats are loading the bill with amendments that Republicans will not like.

A recent vote by the Nebraska Supreme Court, with three justices not casting votes, on TransCanada's ability to seize rights to the land of Nebraska farmers, has been heralded as a win for KXL, but landowners and their attorneys disagree, saying the five votes needed to make a ruling were not cast. The four that were cast, were in favor of the landowners.

Talkupy with Annie Lindstrom welcomes Art Tanderup back to the show on Tuesday, January 13 at 8 p.m. Eastern Time to get an update on all of the abve and how he and other landowners and No KXL activists plan to respond to these developments in order to protect land, water and other resources that are at risk from a revived KXL pipeline project.
