The United Nations has named Melba Moore, who is a Tony Award Winner, Grammy nominated singer, as a Goodwill Ambassador for the construction of a permanent memorial at UN Headquarters in New York to honour the victims of the transatlantic slave trade. The Goodwill Ambassador post is in recognition of Ms. Moore’s contribution to the arts, as well as social injustice causes, particularly in the African-American communities.  Be a part of our indigenous circle and join us in the conversation.
