Adam Ehlert, founder and president of the Kansas City T-Bones Baseball Club, joins host Kelly Scanlon to talk "independent" baseball. Adam and his family had owned and operated the team in Duluth Minnesota, as the Duluth-Superior Dukes for two years before bringing the club to Kansas City for opening day 2003.

During the club's 14 years in Kansas, it has made six playoff appearances, won one championship (2008), and has been a pioneering success in promotions and family-friendly entertainment that have resulted in record-setting attendance.  The Kansas City T-Bones have been named the league’s Organization of the Year four times.

Learn more about the T-Bones’ place in the sports/entertainment spectrum in Kansas City, how the club builds its players and staff, and the business model that allows it to operate independently.
