Photobucket Tonight our guest is Pastor Jonathan Washington of Untold Truth Ministries in Flowery Branch, Georgia. As is our custom on “Minister It To Me Mondays, “ we will cover sermons from the prior weekend. By far, Eddie Long’s sermon was probably the most widely viewed sermon worldwide in recent history, and the media, social networking sites, twitters and twitterettes were in over-drive discussing the sermon/situation. Some were expecting Long to step down as head of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church, while others, at least expected an explanation, but most of us knew based on the dance during the week (and legal ramifications) there would be no substantial admission or denial from Long, who is typically emphatic from the pulpit. We have all fallen short of the glory of God and are in need of a weeping session between the porch and the altar, but what are the implications in religion when allegations of this sort rise up in the church? More importantly, what does the WORD of GOD have to say regarding bishopric, confession, homosexuality, vanity (all of which are central to this fiasco) and what does any of this have to do with David and Goliath? Long said on Sunday, "I got five rocks and I haven't thrown one yet." Question: Should people who live in glass houses throw stones at all? Pastor Washington offers his modern, spiritual, perspective from the infallible WORD of GOD. Call in with your comments or queries to 347-857-3749.
