The Promises of God are YES and AMEN…Even If The Answer IS No!

I had a great time in Zambia about seven years ago with NAPS serving as a HIV/AIDS Health Educator, and was introduced to a text of scripture by my spiritual brother Taurus Montgomery, “For the promises of God in him are yea and in him Amen, unto the glory of God by us” found in II Corinthians 1:20. Still today that verse reverberates every time something does not work out the way I want or if things work out the way I want, regardless, the promises of God are yes and Amen. Even when God says no, it is a yes because it is followed by an Amen in another place in time. So, when the enemy plays the sad record and attempts to make you feel that God has forsaken you in your darkest hour, remember Jesus had the darkest hour known to mankind and even in the midst of his perplexity, Calvary was yes and Amen for us.
