As prevalent as child kidnapping is today, the ugly deed is not a new concept. The Babylonians were shrewd and impressed enough with Jewish children to separate them from their parents and teach them the language of the conqueror. Like the black slaves who were separated from birth, from husbands and from wives, the conqueror continues to conquer by dividing families.
