The Catholic Church ...Again?

Some years ago, scandals in the Catholic church swirled about sexual abuse of children and there was a darkness - a dark cloud over the "mother church" for months - then things quieted down. Here we go again, this time in Ireland and other neighboring countries with claims of sexual abuse. Tell me who gave the Catholic church diplomatic immunity over criminal acts?...and I thought they claimed infallibility? This is suspect at least, and sinful at the most but the confusion is falling!
