After making a unsolicited verbal racist assault on black women and voicing his "aversion" toward them sexually and using the "N" word, John Mayer cries a river in concert and offers an apology. I love how Jesus dealt with this kind of stuff, my Lord said, "out of the mouth proceeds the abundance of the heart." No need to apologize dude, you spoke what you actually feel. Now here are my feelings on the matter. News flash…many African American women have a similar "aversion” to sleeping with white men...kind of stems from the old raping thing that went on during slavery. Some of those encounters with the slave Masters were sadomasochist, since the women were tied up, raped and beaten. My grandmother was suspicious of white men based on the things she witnessed and the stories that were passed down to her via oral tradition...the white slave traders were described in the Interesting Slave Narrative of Olaudah Equiano as barbarians. Perhaps John Mayer should read a book to uncover the root of his aversion, since it is most likely a reaction to our aversion toward them because of the cruelty our ancestors experienced during slavery. This should be blasted in the pulpits. However, mainstream ministers won’t deal with racism because they don’t see black and white …they see green…straight up pulpit pimpin. Well on Talking To Tasha we get down and dirty from the modernized but spiritualized perspective for this generation...you want to apologize, call me up. I must be the maddest black woman on the air right now! My sisters, black women, are constantly portrayed by the media as undesirable…while white women make sex tapes, pose for playboy and still get reality shows contracts, magazine covers and engagement rings from black men. I have had enough! Kanye, you have always been vocal and lately they have shut you down, but this is the time to, “say something baby, say something baby!”
