At his feet…is where you will regularly find Mary Magdalene. On the first occasion, her accomplices/accusers dragged her to the feet of Jesus against her will, accusing her of adultery. On the second notable occasion, she was sitting at the feet of Jesus, again with an accuser – this time it was her own sister, Martha, who accused her of being lazy. Nevertheless, Jesus rebuked the accusers instead of Mary. Why did he grant grace instead of imposing the law? Why did Jesus show Mary so much compassion?
