Fools Rush In…Where Angels Fear To Tread

The safest place, it is said, is in the will of God, even if it seems you are about to give up something precious and dear, I might add. Such was the case with Abraham. After longing for a child he and his wife Sarah rushed in and took matters into their own hands – bringing forth a seed not ordained of God. Later, after much tribulation God granted them a son and even later God asked him to offer his son as a sacrifice, understood to be a heathen practice. But the angel of the Lord instructed him not to lay hands on the lad. Initially, Abraham rushed to work his own situation out, later he rushed to fulfill the will of God and found safety in the will of God. Why waiting on the Lord preserves us from the reward of a fool.
