The prodigal son was restored by his Father after living a riotous lifestyle - which ended in the pigpen. Most of us have the pigpen experience in our spiritual resume although revealing such information is less than glamorous. The idea that we are restored to our former place after we repent is personally glorious, however, are we as excited about restoration when it involves someone else? How much grace, for instance is extended to the minister who falls, or the elder or deacon caught in impropriety? Is God's grace after open sin, good for you and no one else? Is restoration the equalizer or divider?
