Anniversary of Elvis' Death & a Special Sun Studio Interview

When Elvis died on August 16, 1977 at age 42 at 1:30 pm PST, it surprised the world.  Many were left in shock and many others refused to believe he was really dead.  That fans refuse to let him die is demonstrated by the fact that at the time of his death there were about 170 Elvis impersonators--now there are over 250,000.

We'll also be talking to the historians at Sun Studios where Elvis recorded his first album and looking at how Blues and Country Music influenced his style.  At Sun Studios they refer to this week as "Elvis Week" because it is the busiest time for tours when all the Elvis fans come to Memphis to pay their respects to the The King.
