The 4th of July is a time of celebration and festivities for us with parties and all kinds of gatherings taking place. While we humans enjoy these, our canine friends don't feel the same way. There's too much noise and commotion for them.

Join Janet and guest Debbie Jacobs as they talk about protecting your canine companions during the festivities. Debbie is the author of “A Guide To Living With & Training A Fearful Dog", which was a finalist in the 2008 Dog Writers Association of America’s annual writing competition. This popular.

She lives in Vermont with her husband and 4 dogs and created the Fearful Dogs website to help owners and trainers learn about the most effective and humane ways to work with fearful dogs. She met her fearful dog Sunny, the inspiration for the fearfuldogs website at the Humane Society of Louisiana’s Camp Katrina after the hurricanes of 2005.

Shannon Benecke, founder of Dasher's Window to Wellness, a holistic pet wellness business, will be presenting a holistic tip from Dasher's Bag of Tricks that can help to reduce noise anxiety in dogs.
