Ben Tavener, Presenter multimedia producer at BBC. Ben Tavener, British freelance multimedia journalist. Ben was a producer and photographer based in São Paulo, Brazil reporting for radio, TV and news agencies.

He covered news from around Brazil and South America, focusing on politics, business and the environment - and as a freelance correspondent for Anadolu Agency and the BBC covering Brazil and South America.

Ben spent three months in the north of Mato Grosso state working as part of a team guiding ecotourists at the Cristalino Jungle Lodge and Cristalino Private Nature Reserve, part of the southern extreme of the Brazilian Amazon rainforest.

He reported for a wide variety of other international multimedia news outlets, including BBC Radio 5 Live, CTV News, Ebru News, Busan FM, TV Rain , The Voice of Russia and was senior correspondent at The Rio Times between 2011-2013

He writes mainly on politics, business and travel in Brazil and Latin America.  Ben speaks English, Russian, Portuguese, Spanish and French.
