Positive thinking is the best approach to misfortune or challenge in life, right? Maybe not. Our psychology is the driving force behind everything we do, but there are external variables or triggers that influence you. You can’t control them…but you can control how you respond to them, and ultimately what they mean to you. Positivity is a way to avoid a problem but not always the best way to solve a problem.

As described in my program to accelerate productivity, Championship Psychology is not about eliminating the negative, but learning how to recognize it and adapt quickly. Awareness is power. If we understand the root cause of a challenge, we can overcome it quickly. The key is not to LIVE in the problem because if you do, your problem will continue to grow. David Corbin will share with us his techniques to confront, examine and fix problems.

Guest Bio: David M. Corbin

David Corbin is an author, speaker, mentor and advisor who coined the phrase “illuminating the negative” as the best approach to resolve challenges. He has been referred to as “Robin Williams with an MBA” because of his high content speeches coupled with entertaining and side splitting stories and applications. A former psychotherapist with a background in healthcare, he served as a management and leadership consultant to businesses and organizations of all sizes – from Fortune 20 companies to businesses with less than 1 million – and enjoys the challenges of all. He worked directly with the Presidents of companies such as AT&T, Hallmark, Sprint as well as the Hon. Secretary of Veterans Administration and others. David’s latest book, Illuminate- Harnessing The Positive Power of Negative Thinking has reached the #2 book in the Amazon category of business life.
