Content is KING! Between content marketing, ebooks, blogs, and self-publishing there is always someone looking for help with writing. If you are a talented writer or have an eye for detail and can help with editing, stepping out as a freelancer might be the perfect side business for you.

In this Launch Talk episode, I speak with Melanie Lundheim of Good Copy Fast and Shannon Janeczek of PublishSavvy to get an inside view of starting a profitable freelance business as a writer and editor.

Our Guests:
Melanie Lundheim is a corporate freelance writer and founder of Good Copy Fast. Over the past 16 years, leading Minnesota-based organizations have counted on her to plan, manage, write and execute internal, external and online communications materials, such as speeches, articles, case studies, web copy and more. Melanie is also well versed in search engine and social media optimization.

Shannon Janeczek has over 20 years of experience in copywriting, proofreading and editing for corporations. For the last seven years, she has been working in the publishing industry as a marketing manager, and established her freelance book editing and publishing services company, PublishSavvy, in April of 2011. Since then she has helped over a dozen authors with various book publishing services, including the publishing and release of a bestselling humor book.

Your Host: Tai Goodwin is editor-in-chief of LaunchWhileWorking.com. A former employedpreneur™(employed entrepreneur), Tai understands the challenges of starting a business while managing a day job.
