Patricia Diaz Krause is mayor of Lincoln Park, MI., a Detroit suburb.  She is a lifetime Lincoln Park resident and served for more than 30 years as a volunteer.  She was one of the first Neighborhood Watch Block Captains, a member of the Compensation Commission, Economic Development Corporation and 20-year member and President of the Community Improvement Commission.  Mayor Krause created the city’s Garden Walk seven years ago. She earned a Bachelor's Degree from Wayne State University and is a retiree of Ford Motor Company.  Prior to that, she was a staff writer at her local newspaper and also served as a freelance writer for the Detroit News and Detroit Free Press,
