Cate Montana explores beautifully honest, insightful wisdom from her new book The E-Word: Ego, Enlightenment & Other Essentials.  How can grasping the true nature of the human ego help us to better understand ourselves and the world around us in these tumultuous times?  How can our sense of self be expanded - not inflated - into a more evolved level of functioning?  How can we discover true liberation and disentangle ourselves from dysfunction?

A journalist for almost 30 years, Cate has a Master's Degree in Humanistic Psychology and writes and teaches internationally about the ego, transpersonal and transcendent consciousness, quantum physics and evolution.  She is also the author of Unearthing Venus: My Search for the Woman Within and co-author of The Heart of the Matter with Dr. Darren Weissman.

Cate currently writes for Psychology Today, What Doctors Don't Tell You and The Huffington Post.  Her awakening while a top TV editor led her to realize her successful career-driven existence delivered zero happiness and fulfillment, so she set off on a quest to find out why.  One advanced degree in psychology and 20,000+ hours of meditation later, she discovered the ego is not who we are.  With humor, stories and practices, Cate helps us all to strip away ego-perpetuated illusions and open ourselves to deeper, more lasting happiness, freedom and fulfillment.
