Dr. Courtney L. Flowers is currently an Assistant Professor of Sport Management and the Graduate Admissions Counselor in the Department of Health & Kinesiology at Texas Southern University (TSU). Prior to her employment at TSU, Dr. Flowers served as an Assistant Professor of Sport Management at the University of West Georgia and as a Graduate Teaching Assistant for the Department of Kinesiology, Sport, and Leisure Studies at Grambling State University. Athletically, Dr. Flowers has served as a Senior Academic Advisor, Tutor & Mentor Advisor, & Life Skills CHAMPS coordinator for the athletic department at the University of New Mexico. In addition, she also served as an intern for the Southwestern Athletic conference. As an advocate for Black women in golf, Dr. Flowers competed during her undergraduate years on the Mississippi Valley State University women’s golf team. In addition, she worked for The First Tee, The United States Golf Association (USGA), and the National Minority Golf Foundation (NMGF).
