What is life like living under the brutal dictaorship of Hafez al-Asad?  During the 42 year reign of this regime from father to son, there have been companions who the regime has perceived as the enemy killed or jailed, the riches of Syria have plundered, politicians, journalist, and people have have been killed or missing in action, there has been a rise in violent extremism and the regime has killed it's own.  In 1982 the historic center of Hama was leveled.  So what gives?  Listen as we go live with MSU student who has survivied this and is here in America.
