THE RELENTLESS MANHUNTER

Sgt. Dave Walker is a methodical, by the book, relentless Manhunter. Though not partial to menfolk, he’ll chase a woman murderer just as diligently… for just as long as it takes to put them where they belong, behind thick iron bars for the rest of their natural lives.

As leader of Tulsa Oklahoma’s Homicide Unit, he’s a respected, long serving member of the Tulsa Police Department, he seems remarkably comfortable sharing a crime scene with Mark Gordon’s "The First 48" television crew.

I initially encountered the hard-nosed crime fighter while researching the terrible facts for a True Crime book I considered writing for my New York Literary Agent, Joyce Keating. The tale had all the hallmarks of a bestseller, yet I somehow couldn’t put my head around the senseless. hate crime driven. murder of three African Americans, Dannaer Fields, 49, Bobby Clark, 54, and William Allen, 31.

“The Good Friday Shooters,” Mr. Alvin Watts and Jacob England, eventually plead guilty in exchange for a life sentence within a 9x6 foot concrete cell. I figured the story should end there, the killers didn’t deserve more publicity, they were dead enders, and I wanted nothing to do with them. Sometimes, the pay is not worth the pain.

Amen. His passion shows, too. Dave’s skilled team of homicide detectives clears 85% of their cases, an astonishing number when considering the national average is 62 %. His closest competitor is Oklahoma City's homicide division which recently closed 83% of their cases.

Having become friendly with the Tulsan over the last two years, and having an enormous amount of respect for this man, it is my privilege to introduce him to the world of Radio. Just like each of his victims has a story, so does this hero of law enforcement,
