Veterinarian, Author, Playwright and Composer, Denny Hamann comes to Stonewall Live! On Thursday, June 2, 9PM EST.

After composing two musicals that have been produced across the country, had a successful career as a Veterinarian, Denny Hamann gives us another chance to look into his world of wonder and fulfillment, “Purple Grass.”

“Purple Grass” is the story ofa little gay lamb that lives in a flock where the norm is to like green grass, and a sin if you like purple grass and are surely going to hell. "Little Lamb" struggles with his deep-seated feelings, living in a world that says he does not belong. Not in his flock, not in his family, nor in his church. He does not belong because he likes "purple grass" and is rejected by all. Little Lamb ends up being bullied, rejected by his flock, and thrown out by Mom and Dad. It is a story of all marginalized men and women who are looking for a voice and a framework to believe that they are wanted, beautiful and not alone.

His musicals,  “A Tribute to the Memory of You” and “The Dream Catcher” deal with the journeys and challenges facing Gays and Lesbians in our world.
