Born into a military family, Wendy Stewart has lived across the globe but chose to settle down in Rock county to live and raise a family.  She has been a resident of Rock county for 20 years and is involved in the community, attending local events like the Dairy Breakfast and the Rock county fair every year.  She is passionate about veterans issues and has helped organize as well as participated in events around the community to benefit veterans.

Last June, Wendy applied to be considered for the position of Rock County Clerk.  Although being highly qualified and placing 2nd on the list of possible candidates, an understandably more qualified candidate with several years of clerk experience was appointed to that position.  This did not deter Wendy and she became even more determined to become involved in her community through public service.  This led to her decision to run for Rock County Treasurer.

Wendy Stewart's educational background is highly suited for the Treasurer's office.  She holds a double major from UW-Madison in mathematics and economics, and is currently attending UW-Whitewater to qualify to sit for the CPA exam.  Her current and previous employment history includes logistics and inventory control analysis, cost analysis, and regulatory compliance in the food industry.

Wendy is the mother of two children, Grace Stewart (20) and Jacob Stewart (14).  Grace is attending UW-Madison and is a former Cullen intern, and Jacob will start high school at Parker in the fall.  She is quite proud of both her children and their accomplishments.  Wendy is a fiscal conservative and applies that to her lifestyle by doing her own car and home repairs as a hobby.
