During the "The Big Game", GoDaddy was pushing .CO domain names as the newest and most important thing.  Why? .COM domains names are the standard, aren't they?  Do you need a .CO?  What about the other extensions, such as .US, .CC, and so forth?  It's all getting more confusing all the time.
