Graduating and going to St. Lawrence University, Ohene completed a double major in Theater Arts and Creative Writing. He studied for a year in London at University of Westminster and The Globe Theater, plus interning at the famed Stanley House Recording Studio. Ohene Cornelius now plays the guitar, sings, is versed in modern and hip hop dance and consistently acts and teaches acting through drama therapy workshops to ‘at risk’ youth, all while being a dedicated father and husband. His credits include, Nicholas Cage’s “Kick Ass,” “Law and Order: Criminal Intent,” “Nike’s Hyper dunk Commercial,” “Subway Doowop singer’s Commercial,” and the independent film “Horizon.” The short films: “The Ferry” “I Want You” “Red Hook” and “Replayground.” The stage plays: “Auction Block to Hip Hop,” “Platanos and Collard Greens” (both BTLW productions) plus “Colored People’s Time” and other works with the repertory company the Negro Ensemble Company which he also studied with reputable actors Charles Weldon, Erik Kilpatrick, and Barbara Montgomery. Mr. Cornelius consistently works on music, reminding one of Will Smith, Jamie Foxx, and Kevin Bacon and looks forward to his opportunity to show depth and offer himself to the audience. With current management team Alexander Management Company also giving strong and precise direction, he's heading swiftly towards the big leagues! Soon Ohene Cornelius will be a well-known star that breaks down new walls and barriers for African American men in his field. And I am fortunate enough to have him stop by & dish about his incredible story & career with Stardish!!
