On February 23, 2020, Ahmaud Marquez Arbery, an unarmed 25-year-old black man, was pursued while jogging near Brunswick in Glynn County, Georgia, United States. Arbery had been pursued by three white residents Travis McMichael and his father Gregory, who were armed and driving a pickup truck and William "Roddie" Bryan, who followed Arbery in a second vehicle. Arbery was stopped, confronted, and fatally shot by Travis McMichael. The fact that the McMichael’s were not arrested until 74 days after the killing, after the video went viral, sparked debates on racial profiling in the United States.

Last week we talked about judges, this week we are going in on jury selection and the jurors themselves. The jury in the Ahmaud Arbery case is 11 whites and 1 black. Yes, I am not optimistic, call me crazy but I goptta go with the history (I was forced to learn). 11 white people in Georgia judging the fate of 3 white men accused of murdering a black man in GEORGIA! You got to admit, this sounds like a scrip straight out of In the Heat of the Night or To Kill a Mockingbird (IN REVERSE)  Do you do Jury duty, or do you dodge it? If so, can you be mad at white folks who fulfill their duty? Are black folks being stricken from jury service because of a Good Ole Boy System? How are Juries picked? Do you vote? Have you ever wondered or asked? If not, listen in tomorrow because you never know when you may be the one in the hot seat. Tune in 11am eastern 10 am central. If you would like to chime in the number is (646) 716-4621. Press 1 when you can hear the show and I will see a question mark that lets me know you would like to speak. Be Safe Y’all
