This Saturday, July 6th on Behind the Blue Curtain were going to discuss the conditions inside the immigration facilities in the United States.  Regardless of which side of the fence you fall regarding the immigration policy, most people with a heart should be appalled at the conditions inside these facilities and the attitudes of some of its employees.  We can’t claim to be a nation of compassion while turning a blind eye to the conditions in these facilities.  This whole thing is nothing but an advancement of the “For Profit Prison” industry with special interest and investors making money off the misery of others.  For those that say they don’t care because it doesn’t affect them, I’ll remind you: “At this level, nothing in America happens by accident, this is by design”.  If we aren’t shocked by this current situation just wait because it WILL come to your county and city jails and  happen to you or someone you know.  Two companies are racking up on this whole thing. CCA and GEO Group — dominate the immigration detention industry. Together, they operate eight of the ten largest immigrant detention centers. GEO and CCA combined operate 72 percent of the privately contracted ICE immigrant detention beds. The GEO Group, Inc. (GEO) is a Florida-based company specializing in privatized corrections, detention, and mental health treatment.
