This Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 10 AM (CST) on Behind the Blue Curtain we will talk about Decriminalizing Marijuana.  How much time are Officers spending on arresting people on what is usually a non-violent possession charge?  What impact do these arrests have on the court docket?  How many people are in jail, that are usually overcrowded because of these cases?  What benefits have Colorado seen since its legalization of Recreational Marijuana?  This week's guest will be Gerald Kaczmarek.  Gerald  was born and raised in New Orleans, to  single mother and low-income environment,  He  joined the New Orleans  Police Department June  1994.  His career was short-lived by Oct  2001,  he started on a low form of narcotic,  along with the true gateway  " ALCOHOL "....  He and his  family  went through Katrina,  and by August 2007 they decided to relocate to Colorado Springs , where Gerald  stopped drinking , started on oxycontin and Percocet....All hell broke loose.  Gerald says, “Cannabis saved my life by giving me the opportunity to walk into a dispensary by choice, 16 months post-surgery,  and my journey to getting clean started”.   Gerald speaks out because as he put is “ people are being bamboozled and hoodwinked with recreational.
