Jack Hoogendyk is a fiscal conservative. He has a six-year track record in the Michigan legislature only voting for budgets that grew at less than the rate of inflation. He voted against tax increases. He was a proponent of limited government, twice voted most conservative.
 
Jack Hoogendyk is a social conservative. He has always been endorsed by right-to-life organizations. As the former director of a crisis pregnancy center, his pro-life commitment has never been in doubt. He advocated for the marriage protection amendment and believes in traditional family values.
 
Jack Hoogendyk is a constitutional conservative. He has pledged not to vote on any bill unless it is authorized by the constitution.
