E56: Guest Pat Armistead World's First Joyologist - Multi-Award Winning Speaker

Pat  has worked for 40 years in leadership and training and development roles. She had 16 years in Nurse Education and as Director of Nursing services , before founding her own Advertising agency .  This business won 11 NSW advertising awards, 1 national and one international. She was President of the National Speakers Association NZ 2001, The Most Awarded Speaker at the 2000 NSANZ Convention and in 2002  was honoured with NZ Speaker of the Year, the highest accolade afforded members. She was also honoured at a Civic Reception in Auckland, hosted by the Mayor for her contribution to NZ’s wellbeing with her radio program Radio Improv – Joy in the Moment.  She has also toured internationally with Dr Patch Adams.  She has been a professional speaker for 20 years and is a published author of 2 books, 4 e books and features in many others. Pat has been brought to her knees financially on 2 occasions, the first time at the turn of the century following a series of losses, and the 2nd more recently after prolonged ill health.  The first time round she made some choices that served her well and had her be published every month in NZ and globally, as well as radio and TV appearances.   She is implementing those same practices now that she is back living in Australia!
