Sovereign Mind-Shannette slaughter

Shannette Slaughter is the author of a new book called Just Cause I: Moving from a mundane existence into Deliberate Wholeness. The main premise of the book is learning how to connect to the Macro cycles of life so that we can begin to affect the changes that occur rather than being affected and feeling powerless. Ms. Slaughter was moved to write Just Cause after going to Graduate School in Zimbabwe. She like so many other African Americans idealized Africa and thought the woes of the world could be solved if we all just moved back “home.” Well, two years overseas helped her realize the real work to be done is reawakening our minds. Ms. Slaughter has a Bachelors of Arts in Economics and Black Studies from SFSU, a Multi-Subject Teaching Credential from CSUH and a Masters in Sociology from the University of Zimbabwe. She now lectures across the country and around the world on the principles explored in her Just Cause book series. Ms. Slaughter currently resides in Atlanta GA, where she is working on the second book in her series Just Cause II: Collective Community Invocation.
