I am a sixth generation resident of Rutherford County. I attended elementary school in Smyrna, then Walter Hill for Middle School, and graduated from Oakland High School in 1995. Early on in my youth as a Boy Scout, I felt the need to serve and make a difference. I have spent the last 11 years as a Rutherford County Sheriff's Deputy, including work as a Detention Officer, a Patrol Officer, and a School Resource Officer. I was assigned to, Roy Waldron Elementary, Smyrna Elementary, Daniel McKee Alternative School, and La Vergne High School. I have assisted in running the County’s Gang Unit, as well as, working and coordinating with City, County, State, and Federal agencies. As one of Rutherford County’s top deputies, I was honored to be a part of the Technology Team, Child Abduction Unit, Marine Patrol, Teen Education and Alcohol Management (T.E.A.M.). I love working with the youth of Rutherford County, for they are the future of our country. In addition to being a mentor to numerous teenage boys and girls, I have served as an assistant coach for the fencing team at Oakland High School, Track and Field team at Central Middle School, and the archery team at La Vergne High School. I am married to a beautiful woman, Megan Arnold, and we have been blessed with a gorgeous daughter named Ava Grace…who constantly keeps us on our toes. Megan has been employed as a claims representative for a local insurance company for the past twelve years.
