How would you know if you were living on purpose?  What is the spiritual path and how does the divine speak to us on this journey?  What is really happening when life seems to be against us and spiraling out of control? Why don't some paths work for people?

Listen on Tuesday as our guest Rev. Robert Mitchell and author of the new book The Awakening Word answers these questions based on his own life experiences and search for the truth.

Reverend Robert W. Mitchell is an ordained (2006) minister with the Centers for Spiritual Living (UCSL) and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Theocentric Counseling from LaSalle University (2001).

Rev. Robert found Religious Science through the book by Dr. Ernest Holmes, The Science of Mind in 1997. Although he did not have a religious background, nor was he particularly religious-minded, he felt the "call" through the writings of Dr. Holmes, the founder of Religious Science and has since devoted his life to Spirit.

Rev. Robert Mitchell says, "The New Thought path is about a way of life that is closer to what God is, rather than what God is not. It is not looking at the world through rose colored glasses, but a positive view of life based on an understanding of our Divinity as well as our humanity. It is being in the world but not of it in understanding that we are not our conditions, and any condition can be changed. It tells us that we are as God is (Spirit, Soul and Body) and that God is forever present in us, as us. It teaches us that we have dominion over our lives because we are made in the image and the likeness of God, and therefore creative by nature. This path is not about dogma, sin and sinners, hell or Satan, evil, or them and us.
