Marketers love to ride the tide of public awareness. Sometimes it's a good things. Other times it can really bite back!

Take Pokemon GO for one example. It seems benign enough, but is it?

What about congratulating a sports team or athlete on a victory or great feat?

What about #those #awesome #hastags, jump on board?

And a perennial favorite; politics, religion, and social justice.

What about "Likes" and "Shares"? Have you ever followed a business or business person online who's primary source of stream content is shares, memes, and likes?
