Madeline “Maddie” Cohen is a first generation Texan, born and raised right here in Dallas. She did temporarily relocate to the University of Denver for college, but recognized the error of her ways and returned forthwith after graduation.
Maddie attended University of North Texas, where she completed a Masters Degree in counseling with a specialty in children’s play therapy and the child-parent relationship. She now practices at The LifeWorks Group in their newly opened Snider Plaza location. She is responsible for developing children’s programming and also for providing marketing support for LifeWorks and her fellow LifeWorkers.
Maddie specializes in working with kids and families dealing with adjustment issues like divorce and grief. She also works with children and adolescents struggling with sexuality and gender identity development, and helps their families adjust to this new identity. In addition, Maddie specializes in helping ritual abuse survivors and people with Dissociative Identity Disorder.
