Down Syndrome in Pets and Other Genetic Abnormalities

Unfortunately, the risk of genetic abnormalities are a real possibility some for human infants.  But did you know that some of the same chromosomal and genetic mutations can also occur in the animal kingdom?  In some cases, Mother Nature seems to take over, and these baby animals do not make it to birth; but in other cases, they do survive.  In these situations, what happens to the babies?  Are they accepted by their mothers--or abandoned and forced to be raised by benevolent human caretakers?  In this episode of The Missy Show, we seek to find out ways these animals can be helped, and what treatments, if any can be provided to them.  Join us September 24th at 5pm Central.
