Occupy groups are popping up in communities all across the US not unlike the Tea Party. Bennett Weiss is the organizer of the Orange County Occupy group.
Bennett has been politically active almost continually since he first "occupied" Finley Hall at CCNY in 1968(?) in protest of the Viet Nam War. He and his wife have a mom and pop jewelry business and have lived in Newburgh NY for 25 years where they raised two sons.
His most recent activist organizing has focused on econmomic justice issues. First, the Rally of Economic which took place, by sheer coincidence on the week-end that Occupy Wall Street began. Currently , Bennett is concentrating on helping to build Occupy Orange New York (OONY).
