From Heartache to Healing

Everyone of us have experienced loss in our lives-loss of health, relationships, career, finances, love or loss through a death. Grieving is natural and healing is a proess. JoAnne talks with Sheila today on healing from loss. JoAnne Funch founded Heartache To Healing to support and inspire those who are grieving loss from death by sharing her personal story of surviving loss and learning to have a life of purpose and meaning. In 2005, she lost the two people closest to her, her mother and, a month later, her husband. Thinking life couldn't throw her anything more, it did. Her sister-in-law was diagnosed with breast cancer a few short months after Allan's death, a few months after that her Dad's brother died and in December of the same year, her Dad was diagnosed with prostate cancer. She says, 2005 is a year I am not likely to forget,but it has made me stronger. Still working through her grief, in 2007 she decided to move from Southern California where she had been living for 23 years back to her hometown of Minneapolis, Minnesota.
