La’Tivia Elizabeth Tipton was born and raised in the sunny beaches of West Palm Beach, Florida. Growing up, she was known to have two personalities: One being a very sensitive and quiet introvert, while close family and friends knew her to be a burst of joy, a smile that can change a setting of the room, humorous, and compassionate. A struggle always arose when she attempted to step out the box of her ‘comfort zone’; however as God began to mature her she became more confident in who He called her to be. Little did she know that God would combine both personalities in order for her to do the work of His Kingdom.

     La’Tivia graduated from Florida State University receiving a Bachelors of Arts in English with an emphasis in Literature, where she now resides in Tallahassee, Florida. Obtaining her degree was not an easy ride for her as she struggled both financially and emotionally. She grew up in a single parent household which consisted of a strong mother and two beautiful younger sisters. From a young age, La’Tivia struggled with the absence of her father, whereby creating a void she attempted to fill with worldly and fleeting pleasures. Ultimately, this void was used to lead her to her true Heavenly Father, God.

     La’Tivia pursued a ten year career in Healthcare Administration and Management though she always felt a deep passion to teach. In 2008, with a pursuit to understand her purpose on earth, she felt led to undergo a 5 day fast of drinking only water. During this fast, God called her to begin writing daily devotionals.
